Understand that you have sinned and are in need of God's forgiveness (Rom. 3:23)

Repent of (i.e. turn away from) your sins and ask God to forgive you (Acts 2:38)

Accept that Jesus Christ's death and resurrection is the only adequate payment for your sin debt to God (1 Tim. 2:5)

Submit to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior (Rom. 10:9-10)
